PFC James G. Perry, Sr., "A" Company, 1st Battalion, served his country and later joined the Omaha Police Dept. and retired as Lieutenant James G. Perry. Served on the OFD 9-18-1952/10-21-1982. He remained active in the VFW and Fraternal Order of Police. In retirement he was a great husband, father, grandfather, friend, amateur inventor, professional do-it-your-selfer, and a blogger (jamesgperrysr.wordpress. comhome). He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie; and sisters, Martha and Peggy. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Therese; sons, James Jr. (Carol) Perry, Oceanside, CA, Dennis (Irene) Perry, Thomas (Debbie) Perry, Don (Gina) Perry, all of Las Vegas, NV, Pat Perry and Brenda, Fremont, NE, and John (Erin) Perry, Omaha; daughter, Robin (Mitch) Miller, Malvern, IA; grandchildren, Alex, Katie, Curtis, Corina, Tom Jr., Olivia, Brad, Matt and one on the way; great grandson, Christian; sisters, Joyce, Winnie, Judy, Linda, Nellie, Julie and Debbie; and numerous relatives and friends. VISITATION Tuesday 5-8pm, with 7pm Prayer Service at Holy Name Catholic Church (2901 Fontenelle Blvd.). MEMORIAL MASS Wednesday 12Noon at the Church. Inurnment, St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery.
