Bio
Estelle Annette Behrens Schefcick, a resident of New York since 1943, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at Smithtown, N.Y. She was 97. She was born on Sept. 20, 1914, in Platte County, to Emil and Hannah Michaelson Behrens. She was the widow of Frank L. Schefcick. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 112 North Main St. in Pearl River. Interment will be in the Germonds Cemetery in New City. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc., 88 So. Broadway, Nyack. Surviving are three daughters, Judy (Tom) Martin, of Jacksonville, Fla., Jayne (Tom) Knarich, of Upper Nyack, N.Y., and Gail Williams, of Smithtown, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Leonard; son, Frank Ronald; son-in-law, Michael Williams; and nine brothers and sisters.
