James Talmage Crane, 79, died Sept. 1, 2004, at his home in Fulton. He was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Hamilton, Ala., to the late Ephrem L. and Sarah Helen Burleson Crane. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps with 23 years of service. He earned the Bronze Star, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Services were at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Haynes Crane of Fulton; two daughters, Pat Dulaney and husband, Duford, and Jeanne Wallace, all of Fulton; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and his stepmother, Ora Butler Crane. from genforum.com
