John Allen Fries January 10,1950 - October 7,2011. Born in Nebraska and then residing the majority of his life in Arizona. He was taken from us in a fatal car accident while driving through Colorado. Retired US Navy Chief Petty Officer John Allen Fries served his country for 26 years. John Allen Fries was associated with many organizations: BSA, Salvation Army, America Legion & VFW. He received numerous awards & medals but none were held as high to him as his family. John Allen Fries was a son, brother, husband, father, grandpa, family member & friend to countless others. During his life he was always willing to help others no matter what. Touching all with his huge heart of compassion. Always going beyond what was asked of him with both work and family. John loved his family. He enjoyed every moment with us on the phone or in person, which would put a huge smile on his face. He strived for perfection & never gave up. His "we need to talk" always made us smile. Son to Roy & Helen. Father to Brenda, Allen, George & Joseph. Husband to Sonia. Ex-husband to another. Grandpa to Brianna, Aszia & Heavyn. Brother to Debbie, Roy, and Jack. ARIZONA REPUBLIC 23 OCT 2011, A 61-year-old man from Arizona died and three people were injured in a single-vehicle accident Friday morning in the southbound lanes of Interstate 25 at Mile Marker 94, the Pueblo Police Department reported.
