Funeral services for Alice Emma Powitzky, 98, of Bartlett were held Dec 21 at St John Lutheran Bartlett with Pastor Mike Swink officiating. Burial was in St John Cemetery. She died Dec 19, 2003. Alice E Powitzky was born June 3, 1905 near Bartlett in Bell County, the first child of Robert and Minnie Lindemann Spiegelhauer. She was a member of St John Lutheran, a member of the Missionary Society, assisted as Sunday School Librarian, and served on the Altar Guild and Bereavement Committee. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alfred Spiegelhauer and Edmund Spiegelhauer; a sister, Beulah Barbas; and a great-granddaughter Brittany Leigh Bartlett. Survivors include a son Robert Powitzky, a duaghter, Dorothy Jean Bartlett; four grandchildren, Vicky Sartor of Salado, Jane David of Thorndale, Neddy Bartlett and Bobby Lee Bartlett, both of Bartlett; 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
