Bio
Modene Dodds passed away in Austin on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011. She was 84. Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Johnson's Funeral Home with burial in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Dodds was born Susie Modene Arnold in Coleman County in 1927. She married Rex Dodds in 1948, and the couple moved to San Angelo in 1950, where they lived until Rex passed away in 1998. Modene continued to reside in San Angelo until 2008, when she moved to Austin to spend more time with her son and grandchildren. Modene is survived by her son, Don Dodds and his wife, Judith; and four grandchildren, Alex, Katie, Angelina and Joshua Dodds, all of Austin. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Wireman of San Angelo; and several nieces and nephews Per San Angelo Standard Times of 10/19/2011 --------------------------------------------
