Died at Marion Regional Nursing Home. Obituary: MARJORIE B. WIGINTON, 94, Hamilton, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Marion Regional Nursing Home in Hamilton. Born on February 13, 1919, in Tipton Co., TN., she was the daughter of the late Otis and Lucille Burleson. For almost eighty years, she was a dedicated member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church and taught children in Sunday School many years. She was also a very active member of the Hamilton United Methodist Women. As an educator, taught school in the Marion County School System in Hamilton, well over thirty years. She was very dedicated realizing, the many, many young lives she was toughing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband - Alfred Wiginton; sister - Betty Joyce "Joy" Naish; brothers - William Roby "Billy" Burleson, Walter Carl "Sonny" Burleson. She truly loved her young deceased nephew - Lex Arden Fikes, Jr. Funeral services were held on July 9, 2013 at 12 noon from the Hamilton United Methodist Church and burial in Hamilton Memory Gardens. Rev. Jeff Armbrester was the officiating minister. Survivors include her sister - Laura Gene Fikes; sister-in-law - Elizabeth Tynal Burleson; brother-in-law- Jimmy Naish; one niece and two nephews; and a host of friends.
