Grave recorded in 1956 by the Chief Tusquahoma Chapter D.A.R. for the series "Louisiana Tombstone Transcriptions", Volume I, Page 177. Transcription states the first name was spelled "Gorden". The Louisiana State Death Certificate Index states "Goron". Full middle name taken from his Ouachita Parish WWI Draft Registration Card. He states he was a farmer at Calhoun, Ouachita Parish, LA. His nearest relative was Ella Butler, no relation stated. He was short, stout build with brown eyes and black hair. He was listed as missing a leg. Gorden is shown on the 1900 Ouachita census as the son of Marshal and Mandy Butler. Gordon, spelled Farder on Ancestry.com transcriptions, is shown on the 1910 Ouachita Census with wife Ella and children Leila, Tucker and Elvena. On the 1930 Ouachita Parish census, "Gordon M. Butler", (48) was shown with wife Ella F. and children Bert, Herbert, Elvena and Troy.
