John Wesley McCracken was born to William Brownlow & Ada Ophelia Watson McCracken in Feb. 1893. His parents were born in Texas, and in 1900 were living in Elkhart, Anderson Co., Texas. He had three brothers and one sister; William Cody b. Nov. 1889, Viola Pearl b. Feb. 1895, Floyd b. May 1897, and Wm. G.B. Sept, 1899. He married Ruby Kyle.
