From Post Register (Idaho Falls) - October 13, 1985: Norris L. Guidinger, 78, of Rigby, died October 12, 1985 at an Idaho Falls hospital of causes incident to age. He was born September 15, 1907 at Fremont, Nebraska, the son fo Margaret Jane Brown and Edgar Allen Guidinger. He attended schools in Mt. Pleasant, Utah and graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. He then attended Utah State University at Logan. On March 24, 1934 he married Sylvia June Barnes. He has been a Scout Master for a number of years and held various offices in square dancing clubs in the Snake River Valley. He had been spending his winters in Utah and Nevada for the last few years. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Guidinger of Rigby; five daughters: Mrs. Bert (Marilyn) Sommer of Rexburg, Mrs. Bill (Arlene) Drake of Lewisville, Mrs. Delbert (Faye) Bills of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Mont (RaeLee) Faulkner of Bancroft, and James Dennis (Grace) Wright of Winnemucca, Nevada; six sisters: Wenonah Hankinson and Luwenna Roger, both of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Viola Allred of Idaho Falls, Juanita Latham of San Jose, California, Dorothy Seaquist of Milton Freewater, Oregon, and Genevie Allred of Lorenzo; one brother, Edgar Guidinger of Emmett; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
