October 7, 2011 Kenneth Hinton Laurel Leader-Call LAUREL — Kenneth Hinton Kenneth Hinton, 70, of Metairie , La.,formerly of Laurel, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services were held at noon, Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, with burial in Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Harold Floyd officiated. Mr. Hinton loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherin Beech Hinton; sisters, Adlea Johnson, Libby Herrington, and parents, Wafford & Vila Hinton. He is survived by a son, Eddie Hinton of Metairie, , La.; a son, Eric Hinton of Tenn.; brother, M.L. Hinton,of Duncan ,Okla.; sister, Nell Watkins of Laurel; sister, Clarice Cranford of Ellisville, mother of grandchildren, Tiffany Hinton of Soso; grandchildren, Donny Smith of Laurel, Courtney Ulmer of Laurel, and Catherine Hinton of Soso. Pallbearers were Donny Smith, Thomas Lee Johnson, Brian Johnson, Paul Johnson, Toby Herrington, Harry Herrington. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Everette, Jason Vetter, Jonathan Johnson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel was in charge of arrangements.
