Bio

Mary Graves-Painter, 78, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away Dec. 28, 2003. She was born July 4, 1925, in Haskell, Texas, to Arval and Ara Martin. She was a member of North Mesquite Baptist Church and The American Women's Business Association. She volunteered at the White Rock Center of Hope and was employed by Texas Instruments. She is survived by her husband, Ben R. Painter; four sons, Rechey Davidson and wife, Brenda, Gary Graves and wife, Karen, Douglas Graves, Knox Graves and wife, Helen; two step-daughters, Linda Callicott, Regina Humphreys and husband, Les; one brother, Arval Martin Jr.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Hunt. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at North Mesquite Baptist Church with Pastor William "Bill" Wright officiating.
