David Bryant Reno (1923-2011) David Bryant Reno, age 88, entered into eternal life Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at his home in Sherman, TX. He was born on January 3, 1923 in Pecan Gap, TX. He was the fifth of 11 children born to the late John V. and Bessie Beulah Reno. David grew up and attended schools in the Anna Community. He spent most of his youth on a farm west of Anna. He knew what hard work was. As a young man, he started work with the Collins Construction Company building Hwy 24 (now Hwy 380 through McKinney, TX). This being his passion he dearly loved, he continued in road construction all his life. He retired after working for Ralph Gray Construction in San Antonio, TX. He was of the Baptist faith. David is survived by one son, David Bryant Reno II and wife, Pat of Rockwall, TX.; two daughters, Betty Sue Jordan and husband, Johnny and Bonnie Lou Brandon and husband, Bobby, all of Sherman, TX.; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Ross Reno and wife, Sue and Frances M. Reno; one sister, Betty Duncan; one step-son, who he loved very much, Byron Reno and wife, Jimmie; and his beloved Chihuahua little buddy Yoda. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, J.V. Reno Jr., William Burgess Reno, Harold Ray Reno and four sisters, Mildred King, Juanita Hunt, Dorothy Fae Montgomery, and infant sister, Thelma. He is also survived by his soul mate and mother of his children, Ona May Malin. Family hour will be at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Graveside services be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 2 p.m., at the Van Alstyne Cemetery.
