************************** Published Sept, 21, 2011 - Chanute, KS James Pavlu, 49, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011 at his residence. James was born in Santa Ana, California on October 13, 1961, the son of James A. and Darlene (Bundy) Pavlu. He graduated from Ocean View High School in 1979. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chanute, KS. He is survived by father, James A. Pavlu of Huntington Beach, CA; one son, Austin James Haws of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters, Cathrine M. Pavlu of Chanute, KS, and Marla Piatt of Augusta, KS; several nieces and nephews, Janette and James Pritchette, Shawnte Wohl, Kelly Harding, James Wohl, Nickole Schooley, Kelly Piatt, and Joseph St. John; great nieces and nephews, Kalina, Madison, and James Pritchette, Gavon Wohl, Kyler and Kale Harding, Mia and Joe St. John; and Kathy Cantrell of Bristow, OK. He was preceded in death by his mother Darlene McLaughln. Cremation has taken place. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, September 26, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chanute. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chanute, KS. Memorials in his name may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church and may be left with the funeral home. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel is in charge of arrangements. *********************************
