Funeral services for Edna Irene Cannon, 86, of Sulphur Springs, were conducted Tuesday, November 17, 1992 in the Tapp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ben Read officiating. Burial was in Ridgeway Cemetery with Johnny Ebner, Geoffry Patterson, Bobby Ewell, L.L. Voss, Roby Ledford and Erv Beenken serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Constantino, Jim Myrick and Don Wies. Mrs. Cannon died early Sunday morning in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Oklahoma on February 1, 1906, to Sam Harvey and Mae Cobb Richesin. She was married to Charlie Cannon on February 23, 1946, in Mount Clemens, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Cannon had been a Sulphur Springs resident for 10 years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist church and a member of Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include one daughter, Joy Marie Constantino of Duncanville; one brother, Tim Richesin of Belton and two sisters, Gladys McGee of Walters, Oklahoma and Juanita Patterson of Sulphur Springs.
