Bio
Anna died Monday, September 26, 2011, at the Birchwood Manor in North Bend. Anna was born January 23, 1921, near Bruno, Nebraska to Louis and Anne(Dvorak) Dostal. On January 27, 1942, she married Ernest Eckstein at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Abie. While Ernest served in the military, Anna worked for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington. Following the war, they returned to farm southeast of Linwood. Anna was a homemaker, helped on the farm and loved baking, gardening and taking lunch to the guys in the field. She was a lifetime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cedar Hill. Anna is survived by three sons;Lyle(Mary) Eckstein, Linwood, Dan(Vicki) Eckstein, Lincoln and Rich(Pam) Eckstein, Linwood, eight grandchildren;Jody(Kevin) Hoops, Carrie Eckstein, Lanea, Eckstein,Luke Eckstein, all of Lincoln, Ryan Eckstein, Omaha, Clint Eckstein, Neal Eckstein both of Denver, Colorado, and Sarah Eckstein of Linwood. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Geraldine Dostal of Papillion, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sister, Tillie Hruby and three brothers; Joseph, Alois and Eugene Dostal.
