Bio
Services for Mrs. Ida Nunneley were held in the Anson Church of Christ officiated by Fred McClung, the local minister. She died at the home of a daughter. She was born Ida Lura McMician in Mississippi where she spent her girlhood days. She met and married Samuel Losin Nunneley in Mississippi in 1891. After spending several years in Arkansas, the couple moved to Anson in 1909 and settled south of town. Her husband preceded her in death. She lived in Anson for 18 years before moving to Wichita Falls. She was a member of the Church of Christ for many years. Survived by three sons - Roy, Herbert, and Earl Nunneley; two daughters - Mrs. Jess Holmes, Mrs. Ervin Hawkins; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
