Bio

Mary Louise (Bebe) Kucera Campion, 94 years young, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. She was born at home on Mt. Auburn Avenue in Dallas, Texas on May 19, 1917 to John H. and Sophie Polansky Kucera. A lifelong Dallasite, she was educated at St. Edward Academy, Woodrow Wilson High School and SMU. She was very active in Cub Scouts, and her lifelong participation in the Catholic Church included being an active parishioner at St. Edward's and later at St. Bernard's; an early member of the Little Flower Missionary Society and a St.Paul Hospital volunteer. She was one of the first and most active docents of Old City Park. After being a full-time Mom, mentor and friend to countless others, she began a business career, retiring from Southern Trust & Mortgage. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, James T. Campion, she is survived by her six children: Judith Blake and husband Marlin, Jeanne Mitchell and husband John, William P. and wife Kate, James T. Jr. and wife Mary, John Michael and wife Cindy, Edmund and wife Danielle; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Rosary, Friday at 10:00 am followed by the The Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, Friday, September 30, 2011, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 4001 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas 75226. Rev. Edison Vela, Celebrant. Interment Old Calvary Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. A special thanks goes to Bebe's friends and staff at C.C. Young Nursing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to C.C.
