☆～ VETERAN, VIETNAM WAR (1955-1975) ～☆ Kenneth R. Reimers, 60, of Cairo died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at the Grand Island Veterans Administration Hospital. Kenneth was born May 5, 1951, at Cairo to Wayne and Ruth (Sherlock) Reimers. Survivors are: son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Joanna Reimers of Grand Island; mother, Ruth Wieser of Cairo; and a host of relatives and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father. Kenneth was raised on a farm near Cairo and received his education at Centura. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1971-1976. He worked as a welder having worked at New Holland and for different welding shops. Kenneth enjoyed muscle cars, guns, fishing and was a member of the Red, White and Blue Black Powder Club. Interment wasin the Burkett Cemetery of the Nebraska Veterans Home, Grand Island, NE. Published in The Grand Island Independent on September 27, 2011
