Bio

John was the 4th son of Thomas and Hannah (Burden) Morefield. He was 7 when his mom, Hannah, died in 1863. Dad remarried to Katherine in 1865, she died in 1875. Dad married again to Gertrude in 1877 Married first Imagene ("Jennie") Gregory in 1880 (per the 1880 Census). She died in 1897. Married Second Anna Marie Sophie Schlechte in 1899. They had 4 children together. Jennie Caroline - 1899 - 1997 Bertha H - 1902 - 1938 Franklin L - 1904 - 2000 Mary Eliza - 1912 - 2006 The 1880 and 1910 census lists him as Farmer. The 1900 census lists him as Hotel Keeper. - - - Rocky Mountain News (Denver, Colorado), October 28, 1914 MOREFIELD—John F. Morefield, brother of A. R. Morefield, 70 Pearl street.
