Enid News and Eagle (OK) Published 7-22-11 Recitation of the Rosary for Mathew T. Maly, 88, will be 7 p.m. today, July 22, 2011, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bison. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011, officiated by Rev. Joseph Arledge. Burial will follow in Bison Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey. Mathew was born north of Hennessey on Oct. 13, 1922, to Joseph and Mary Vculek Maly and died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Enid. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Philippines. Mathew married Mary Rose Patocka in Hennessey on Feb. 9, 1949. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bison, member and past president of Hennessey Community and Senior Center, member of Oklahoma No. 1 Polka Club and American Legion. Mathew is survived by daughter, Linda Jones and husband Rick of Waukomis; son, Mike Maly and wife Joan of Edmond; five grandchildren, Traci and Steven Hutson of Tulsa, Julie and Justin Boyd of Oklahoma City, Megan and Jeremy Pirtle of Enid, Mathew and Susan Maly Edmond, and Jason and Jennifer Maly Edmond; seven great-grandchildren, Gavin, Meredith and Lana Maly, Makenzie Boyd, Ella Pirtle, Callie and Brinley Hutson. Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home in his name to Hennessey Community and Senior Center.
