Ms. Elizabeth "Betty" Azad of Hot Spring Village passed away Tuesday, September 20. She was born November 12, 1941 in Mansfield Texas to the late Joe Patterson and Frances Harp Patterson. She was a member of River of Life Church in Hot Springs and was a RN at the Arkansas State Hospital in Little Rock. Ms. Azad is survived by 1 children: Cynthia Tolleson of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and Doug and daughter-in-law Lana Tolleson of Cottonwood, Arizona; two grandsons: Marshall Tolleson and Ross Tolleson; other relatives; and a host of friends. Service was held in the River of Life Church on Saturday, September 24, 2011. Pastor Ben Wiles officiated. Honorary Pallbearers were David Harp, Brad Harp, Phillip Harp, Tim Holicer, Marshall Tolleson, Ross Tolleson and Doug Tolleson. ∼ The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ Tuesday, September 27, 2011 Elizabeth "Betty" Azad of Hot Springs Village, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 after battling cancer. She was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Mansfield, Texas. Betty lived in Cottonwood and Sedona from December 2007 until May 2010. She was employed at the Mingus Center and was a member of the Unity Church of Sedona. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Tolleson of Hot Springs Village, AR; her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Lana Tolleson of Cottonwood, two grandsons, Ross Tolleson of College Station, Texas, and Marshall Tolleson of Cottonwood. Her funeral service was held Saturday, Sept. 24 in Hot Springs, Ark., and her internment will be Saturday, Oct. 1, in Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, Texas. Information provided by family members.
