Bio
Nylalee Schiereck Kemme, age 87, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Draper, Utah. Nylalee was born in Ness City, Kansas on May 22, 1924 to John and Vivian Schiereck. After graduating from Dighton High School in Dighton, Kansas, Nylalee moved to Denver, Colorado to attend Colorado Women's College. There she met and married Joseph Edward Kemme on November 24, 1945. Together they had three children; John, Gary, and Kathryn. Nylalee was a devoted housewife and performed countless hours of community service throughout her lifetime. She was a member of the Los Alamos, New Mexico Hospital Auxiliary and the Dixie Regional Hospital Volunteer Services in St. George, Utah. Nylalee is survived by her children John Kemme (Jolene) of Salt Lake City and Kathryn Lahlum (Craig) of Cave Creek, Arizona. She has five grandchildren: R. Anthony Lyman (Lindsey), Michael Lyman, Erin Lyman Wilson (John), Brittney Lahlum Beer (Nikolaus), and Ashley Lahlum. She is preceded in death by her loving spouse, Joseph; and her son, Gary. Nylalee's family would like to acknowledge and thank the staffs at South Towne Ranch, Alta Ridge, and The Stratford. We would especially like to thank the dedicated professionals at First Choice Home, Health and Hospice for the care and concern they provided to both our mother and our family. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah. Interment will be privately held in St. George, Utah. Published in the Deseret News on September 25, 2011.
