HIGBEE NEWS (Randolph Co MO)--Friday, 4 Apr 1924, Vol 37 No 50--LITTLE MARGARET COMSTOCK DEAD--Death again came into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. T. Comstock of near town, Friday evening at 8:30, March 28, 1924, the Great Maker this time claiming the sweet loving spirit of Margaret Caroline, who was born in Kansas City, Kan., July 16, 1916, she being 7 years, 8 months and 2 days old. She was a pupil of second grade, room two, Higbee public school. The little body was laid to rest Sunday afternoon in New Hope cemetery, Howard county, by the side of an older sister, Linsey Lee, who died two years ago. She is survived by her parents, two sisters and one brother and her grandmother, Mrs. T. A. Comstock. The few short years of this little girl's life were filled with loving words and deeds and sunny smiles for everyone. Always healthy and happy, we cannot realize she is gone. *transcribed by Kathy Bowlin* NOTE: Conflicting information regarding DOB. Note: On her death certificate, if you look close at it you will see it says March 12, 1917, but if you use the calculator by using age 7, months 8, days 12. It comes out as 16 July 1916. So I'm going to use it.
