Born to Rev. Gibson Washington Joiner (1817-1902) & his first wife, Frances "Fanny" Eubanks Joiner (1814-about 1863 in Alabama; grave unknown). Adoniram married 1) Martha "Mattie" Susan Hunt (1858-c. 1886 in Bell County, TX) of Georgia about 1878. Three children: • Joseph Haywood Joiner (1879-1961) • Oma Celeste Joiner Poteet (1882-1981) • Mattie Hunt Joiner (1884-1968) Adoniram married 2) Miss Kate Waldrop (1859-1938) on June 14, 1887, in Holland, TX, as announced in the Fort Worth Daily Gazette, June 27, 1887. Seven children: • Gladish Monroe Joiner (1888-1945) • Gibson Wadford/Woodson Joiner (1889-1965) • Winfred Davis "Winnie" Joiner Picture (1891-1931) • Ulrich Hutton Joiner (1893-1965) • Barbara Idyl Joiner Fagg Parsons (1895-1961) • Maud Tommie "Ruth" Joiner Ralston Frerichs (1897-1974) • Connie Christine "Chris" Joiner Chambers Shrevet Thompson (1899-1977) Adoniram's name is misspelled on both the headstone and death certificate. He was named for Adoniram Judson (1788-1850), famous Baptist missionary to Burma, so I believe the correct spelling is Adoniram.
