Funeral services for Bertie Lee Shows Deen were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Mars Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Fred McLaren officiating. Burial followed in the Mars Hill Cemetery under the direction of Southern, Winnfield. Mrs. Deen, age 85 of Atlanta, died Monday, March 11, 1996 in Winn Parish Medical Center. She was a member of Mars Hill Baptist church and a native of Jonesboro, LA. Mrs. Deen is survived by: two sons, Eulas W. Deen of Ball, LA and Marlin Deen of Atlanta, LA; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Published in The Winn Parish Enterprise, March 14?, 1996
