Bio
Shirley Faye Smith, 66, a resident of Portales and Mountainair, NM, entered into rest Friday, January 3, 2003. She was preceded in death by her sons, Alan and Joe, and her parents, Faye Earlene (Alderman) and Melton Hayhurst. She is survived by her husband, Gary, of Mountainair, NM; her daughter, Kim Wells and husband, Wess, of Mountainair; and a son, Brad Smith and wife, Pam, of Burke, VA. She is also survived by her granddaughters: Tonia Dunlap, Tami Sue Wells, T'Layna Mae Wells, and grandson, Tanner Dunlap, along with many relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers were: Tanner Dunlap, Jack Kerbo, Jr., Clifford Chisum, Darren Hayhurst, Tim Hayhurst, and Fred Moore. Honorary pallbearers were Vernie wells, Sam and Joyce Shaw, Susie Butler, Noel Rippee, Bob Beasley, Donny Luna, David Reese, F.M. Addison, Steve Poe, Gale Newberry, herb Newberry, George Brumfield, Tom Gossett, Tillie Luna and Kim Coffey. Interment was at White Lake Cemetery, Gran Quivira, NM.
