COMMINS, Martin Henry, age 75 of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Services will be held 12 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Mr. Commins was born April 23, 1936 in Lexington, NE, the son of Richard Roy and Adelaide (Yeo) Commins. He married Susan D. Greenley on September 16, 1988 in Mt. Morris. Mr. Commins retired from the US Air Force in 1974 as a Master Sergeant Aircraft Fighter Mechanic after 21 years of service and from Coca-Cola in 1991 after 12 years of service. Surviving are: wife Susan of Swartz Creek; three sons, Robert (Tracy) Commins of Panama City, FL, Marty Commins of Bowling Green, KY, Victor Commins of Las Vegas, NV; step-son, Randy (Traci) Vaughn of Rock Ledge, FL; step-daughter, Stacey (John) Bruton of Swartz Creek; six grandchildren, Chase, Michael, Shane, Anthony, Cheyene, and Amber; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Caiden; sister, Ruth Macomber of Hastings, NE; brother, Dean (Ethel) Commins of Warsaw, MO; sister-in-law, Judith Greenley of Sebring Florida, His parents; sister, Jane and two brothers, Roy and Earl, preceded him in death.
