Many thanks to FAG contributor Gaye Hill (46915711) for the following information: Jackson County Banner newspaper, Brownstown, IN Wednesday 3 March 1937; Page 5, Column 3 Ahl - Mrs. Sarah Ahl, age 84, a former Jackson County resident, passed away at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Glenn Warner, at Friend, Nebraska, February 19. Mrs. Ahl was the daughter of Conrad and Susanna Pfenning and was born and reared at Wegan on the farm now owned by Edgar Stahl and was the last surviving member of the family. She was a sister to Mrs. Emma Waskom, who died a few months ago. She was married to Michael Ahl and later they moved to Nebraska. Her last visit to Jackson County was about thirty years ago. Besides the granddaughter at whose home she died, she leaves five other grandchildren.
