Orle W. Collier was born near Beaver Crossing, Nebraska on Feb, 22,1905 to Harry and Emma Collier, and died on Friday, Sept. 25, 1981, In Seward, Nebraska. He was a World War .11 veteran and a long time barber in Beaver Crossing. He was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Goehner. Services were held In Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, 1981. Burial was at Beaver Crossing Cemetery, with graveside services by the Beaver Crossing American Legion Holmes Post No. 178. Survivors Include his wife, Alma, Beaver Crossing; a sister, Mrs. Francis (Leta) Eckhard, Seward; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Pallbearers were Jack Hoffman, Wilber Miller, Les Weber, Bob Hansen, Duane Mehrens and Larry Collier. Honorary pallbearers were Vance Mehrens, John Kentner, Jeff Kentner and Matt Kentner.
