Bio
Rites Conducted For Mrs. Frank Services were held for Mary E. Frank, 73, of Winnetoon on Tuesday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Creighton. Rev. Richard Arndt officiated. Interment was at the Winnetoon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Frank, Daniel Alder, Kevin Holecek, Randy Frank, August Hinzmann and Ken Kallhoff. Mary Frank was born Dec. 31, 1907 near Winnetoon to Carl and Anna (Horstmann) Kumm. She died Nov. 28, 1981 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital. She was baptized and confirmed at the Christ Lutheran Church and was a lifelong member. She attended school in Winnetoon and at the Lutheran Church school in Bazile Mills. On Feb. 16, 1927 she was united in marriage to Charles Frank. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Dean. They lived on a farm near Winnetoon until retiring and moving to Winnetoon in 1961. She is survived by her son, Dean L. of Verdigre; four grandchildren, Larry and Randy of Verdigre, Mrs. Dan (Connie) Alder of O'Neill and Mrs. Kevin (Tammy) Holecek of Creighton; four great grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Irene Kremeier of Okarche, Okla.; one brother, Fred of Council Bluffs, Ia. Mrs. Frank was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles on April 19, 1974, four sisters and three brothers. ...The Creighton News 3 Dec 1981
