Bio
Marjorie Greear Young, 92, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011, at the Norton Community Hospital, Norton, Va. She was a member of the Nehemiah Baptist Church Coeburn, Va. and was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Suzannah Greear; her husband, Virgel A. Young; two sons, Ronald Lee Young, John Douglas Young; and a greatgranddaughter, Elaine Morie Bender. Surviving are a son, Jerry Young and his wife, Sara, of Coeburn; a daughter, Glenda McClellan and her husband, David, of Xenia, Ohio; a sister, Nita Ferguson of Coeburn; five grandchildren, Virgel J. Young II and his wife, Claressa, Niki Hamm and her husband, Kenny, Christopher McClellan and his wife, Christy, Jennifer Bender and her husband, Shane, and Brian McClellan and his wife, Carrie; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 26, 2011, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sturgill Funeral Home, 310 6th St. N.W., Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011, in the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel Coeburn with Dr. David E. McClellan and Dr. Michael Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Memorial Park Castlewood, Va. Sturgill Funeral Homes, 310 6th St. N.W., Coeburn, VA 24230 in charge of arrangements.
