Agnes Cooley Wyatt, 89, of DeRidder, La. was born on April 7, 1922 to Melvin and Bertha Cooley in DeRidder,La. and passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder, La. As a homemaker, Agnes had many special interests. She raised chickens and cattle. She loved her cows and had every one of them named. She also enjoyed growing and canning vegetables to provide for her family. In her spare time, she loved her yard work and flowers. Agnes was a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was one of the first students of the Shady Grove School and was a member of the Shady Grove Historical Society. Mrs.Wyatt will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A.R. "Pete" Wyatt; sister, Mary Edwards; brothers, Jimmie, Marvin, Fred, and Glen Cooley, infant twin sisters; great grandson, Cameron Lichtenauer and son-in-law, Roger Michael Poore. Funeral services were Monday, August 29, 2011, at Friendship Baptist Church of DeRidder. Brothers Joe Pool and Johnny Johnson officiated.
