Bio

Nancy Jane Whitt Barnes was known as Nancy Ma to her family. She and Reuben Jasper Adams were married 26 July, 1882 and had ten children, four of their children died under the age of three. Her headstone shows that she was born in 1858, but according to the 1860 US Census, she would have been born in September, 1859. Nancy Jane was the daughter of James H Barnes (1835-1889) and Synthia Whitt (1841-1865). Nancy Jane died at her home located just above her youngest son, Edd's home on West Ky 80, Laurel Co, Kentucky.
