Info from Joseph Smith FAG 46952329 The Dallas daily herald., November 01, 1886 ------------- Died. Saturday evening late, Prof. Redifer, professor of science in the City Public High School, died. About two weeks ago one of his young daughters died, and for several weeks he combated with typhoid fever before he succumbed. Another daughter, a young lady, is so very low with typhoid fever that yesterday afternoon she was not expected to recover. He leaves a widow and seven children, including the daughter who is sick, in absolute and utterly destitute circumstances, without a dollar in the world (save, perhaps, a little charity may have supplied her with) and without the means to bury her husband. Mr. Jones, of the school board, interested himself and raised some money for funeral expenses, the congregation at the Baptist Church contributing very liberally indeed. This family commends itself to the tender graces of the different ladies' aid societies, for they are not only in want of the necessaries of life, but they need sympathy and condolence, and all those little kindnesses of the heart so soothing in distress and grief.
