Dora was born on May 11, 1923, in Vernon Parish, LA, to George Thomas Bailey and Lisa Purnie Johnson Bailey. She was a native and lifelong resident of Vernon Parish, LA; homemaker and member of Providence Baptist Church. She passed away on August 15, 2011, at the DeRidder Retirement & Rehab Center. Survivors include three sons, Thomas Jackson of Baton Rouge, LA, Mark Jackson of DeRidder, LA and Randal Jackson of Rosepine, LA; three daughters, Nettie Brown of Sterlington, LA, Zelta Glasgow of DeRidder, LA and Anita Griffin of Rosepine, LA; one brother, Lonnie Bailey of Rosepine, La; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services were under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
