Mills EMORY – Funeral services for L.B. ‘Bodie’ Mills, 82, of Emory, will be at 2 p.m. today at Wilson-Orwosky Chapel with burial in Tidwell Cemetery. Rev. Billy Smith and Rev. Mike Mayhugh will officiate. Mr. Mills died Tuesday at Green Acres Nursing Home. Born in Hunt County, he was the son of Bun and Euphia Taylor Mills. On Jan. 2, 1951, he married Cleo Mills in Greenville. Mr. Mills was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from the Texas State Highway Department and was a Methodist. Surviving are his wife; two sisters, Pearl Green of Tyler and Sue Freeman of California; aunts, Allene Stone of Tyler, Mittie Lewis of Austin, Ima Pickel and Johnnie Taylor, both of Dallas; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bobby Kile, Floyd Greene, Joe McDonald, Fred Hunter, Jackie Smith and Jim Osborn. Employees of the Texas Highway Department, W.M. Rodes, Buster Fleming, Aubrey ‘Bull’ Johnson, Booker Nix, Paz Peoples and Jim Felton will serves as honorary pallbearers.
