Transcribed from the El Campo Citizen (a newspaper published in Wharton County, Texas), Front Page, dated Thursday, the 11th of August of 1955 MISS HOFFMAN FUNERAL SERVICES HELD TUESDAY Miss Mary Hoffman, who had resided in this area for the past 68 years died suddenly on Sunday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Charles Hajovsky, Route 1. Miss Hoffman was born in Frelsburg, August 15, 1886. For the past eighteen months, she had lived with the Hajovsky family. A sister, Mrs. Anna Korenk and a brother, Frank, preceded her in death. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Charles Hajovsky, Mrs. Joe Stokr, of Taiton and Mrs. Leo Petter of El Campo; also two brothers, Robert and Method Hoffman both of Nada. Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Monday and funeral services were held from the Triska Funeral Home at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. Requiem High Mass was sung by Rev. Edmund Bily in the Nada Catholic Church and interment was made in the Nada Catholic Cemetery.
