Leonide "Lynn" (Muesse) Plagens, 86, of Rutersville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2011 in Katy, Texas. Lynn was born in Oldenburg, Texas on June 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Louis and Adela (Hackebeil) Muesse. She married Harry L. Plagens in Fayetteville, Texas on June 12, 1947. Lynn and Harry were the owners of Harry & Lynn's Café in Rutersville. The café was known as having the "best catfish around" as published in Texas Monthly's issue in February, 1973. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Annunciation No. 1962 of La Grange, Texas. She was also a member of the Rutersville Cemetery Association and the Sons of Herman Lodge, Rutersville, Texas. She is survived by one son Charles Meyer and wife Virginia McVicker-Meyer of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her first husband Pete Meyer who was killed in action on November 14, 1944 in France; second husband Harry Plagens who passed away on December 27, 1988; one sister Minnie Ann Oppermann, and three brothers: Fritz, Elo and Edgar Muesse.
