Vollie Jean Wanoreck Burton, 62, of Rising Star died Friday, July 2, 1999, in an Abilene hospital. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Rowena. Arrangements are by Rains-Seale Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 27, 1936, in Wall and had been a longtime resident of Rising Star. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. Survivors include her husband, Robert Burton of Rising Star; three sons, Richard Collins of Rising Star, Bobby Collins of Midland and Tim S. Burton of Rising Star; two daughters, Vicki Slatton of Brownwood and Terri O'Bannon of Ackerly; and three sisters, Joyce Knott of Rising Star, Pauline Northcutt of Snyder and Caroline Blackwood of Midland.
