Son of James Sutton Miller (1833-1921) and Keziah Miller Miller (1836-1887). Married Sarah "Sadie" Elizabeth Foster (1863-1939) on 10-1-1885 in Seward Co., Ne. Children are unnamed infant girl (1887-1887), Roy Earl Miller (1889-1975), Mamie Ellen Miller Steck (1891-1977), Glenn Thomas Miller (1895-1938) and Louella May Miller Miller (1899-1995). Siblings are Mary Elizabeth Miller (1863-1864), Frank Wesley Miller (1865-1904), Charles Ellsworth Miller (1867-1921), Estella R. Miller (1870-1871), Albert Fredrick Miller (1872-1957), James Wilson Miller (1874-1947) and unnamed infant sister. William Edward Miller Obit William Edward Miller was born near North Henderson, Illinois. August 23, 1862 and passed away at the age of 99 years, 6 months and 18 days at the Memorial Hospital in Seward, Nebraska, March 13, 1962 He suffered a broken hip and was in the hospital for treatment and special care after he had fallen in his home, north of Beaver Crossing, February 26. At 16 years of age, he moved with his parents from Illinois to Clay County, Nebr. where they resided for 2 or 3 years. They then came over near Beaver Crossing in Seward County to live. October 1, 1885 he was united in marriage to Sarah Foster, who preceded him in death in 1939. To this union were born five children, one of whom passed away in infancy. A son Glenn, died in a tractor accident as did his wife, in 1939. Those who survive him are a son, roy, of Long Beach, California, and two daughters, Mamie, Mrs. Gus Steck and Ella, Mrs. Glenn Miller of Beaver Crossing. One sister Hazel, Mrs Jesse Kinder, of Columbus; five grand children, eight great grand children, and ten great great grandchildren. He united in membership with the Beaver Crossing Methodist Church, along with his wife, in 1894. He received a 50 year membership pin from the Church, a few years ago. He liked farming which he continued as long as he was able in later years he took pride in his good garden, free from weeds. He loved his home and his family and enjoyed visiting with his neighbors. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, March 16 at 1:00 P.M. at the Methodist Church, Beaver Crossing, Nebraska by Rev E. B. Stewart, Pastor. Mrs. Robert Ganshorn was pianist and a mixed quartet: sang, Miss Marguerite Ahlschwede, Mrs. Norman Cross, Mark Whitnah and Harry Cross sang, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The End of a Perfect Day." Pallbearers were neighbors, Parrell Bissey, George Tyrrell, Louis Beeler, Bob Beckler, Con Reckling and Loren Peterson. Burial was made in the Beaver Crossing Cemetery.
