Funeral services for Maxine Moody, age 81, of Arcadia, will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the United Methodist Church in Arcadia with Reverend Jeff Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Lee Park Cemetery near Arcadia. Memorials have been established to the Arcadia United Methodist Church or the Lee Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday August 8, 6:00pm-8:00pm, at the United Methodist Church in Arcadia. Govier Bros. Mortuary of Broken Bow is in charge of the arrangements. Maxine is survived by her son Ron (Marilyn) Moody of Broken Bow, and daughter Teresa (Bill) Staab of Arcadia, six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Maxine Jane Moody was born on November 3, 1929 at Arcadia, NE to Theodore and Lita (Drake) Miller. She was married to Robert Moody on April 17, 1948 at Arcadia, NE. Mr. Moody died in 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother Harold.
