Lola Doty Johnson Dies in Chicago Mrs. Lola Doty Johnson, 75, sister of Mrs. Flossie Miller and Mrs. Floyd L. Elliott of Sycamore, died Friday, January 13, at the EngleWood hospital in Chicago, where she had been critically ill for two weeks. She had made her home in Chicago, since 1931, with her daughter, Miss Mary Claire Johnson, who is Administrative Assistant of Illinois Public Aid Commission, Mrs. Johnson coming to the city, when her husband, Dr. J. M. Johnson died. She was born in Oxford, Ohio on July 26, 1874, the daughter of Franklin B. and Esther Davison Doty. After her marriage, she and her husband resided in Hartington and Omaha, Neb, until he passed away. Two children were born to this union, a son, John A. Johnson, who died on December 11, 1948 and a daughter Miss Mary Claire Johnson of Chicago. Surviving are two grandchildren, also seven sisters and brothers namely. Mrs. Viola Wirtlh of Bellingham, Wash., Elmer S. Doty of Elgin, S. S. Doty of Woodstock, Mrs. Flossie Miller of Sycamore, Mrs. Daisy E. Gallois of West Chicago, Mrs. Floyd L. Elliott of this city, Fay De Witt Doty, new in South America. A brother, Clinton Doty, and two sisters, Olive Peffer and Jessie Nesbitt, have preceded her in death. Final services were accorded from the Kebil Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. F. H. Weichlein of 'St. Peter's Episcopal church in charge. Interment took place in the South Burlington cemetary.
