Whitney Messenger Friday, August 19, 1994 Fred Peacock Fred Peacock, age 85, of Whitney died August 16, 1994, in a local hospital. Graveside service were held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 1994, at the Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney. Officiating was Mark Gully from the Worldwide Church of God in Hewitt, Texas. Fred Peacock was born November 10, 1908 in the Yates Community near Whitney. His father was Benjamin Peacock and his mother Luna B. (Gilmore) Peacock. Mr. Peacock was a farmer and lived in the Hill County area all of his life. He married Ruby Williams on June 17, 1931. He was a membr of th Worldwide Church of God. Mr. Peacock was survived by his wife, Ruby Williams Peacock; one niece, Bernice Raby of Whitney; two nephews; two nephews, Billy Peacock of Whitney, and Bennie Baird of Gholson.
