As of October 2025 no newspaper account in Oklahoma has been found for of Earnest's death and burial. No Oklahoma State Death Index has been found with headstone date with any name spelling to justify claim of death in Oklahoma. Burial in Roger Mills County is not proof death was in same place and was removed. Death possibly occurred in Colorado but no accounts have been found. Bent County, Colorado has no online records for months on or after death. Record was created with Roll, in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma Territory as a birth location and some claim Roff but Roff in review appears to be an invalid claim for any member of the Rowe family.
