John E. Landwermeyer (1915 - 2011) John E. Landwermeyer, 95, passed away on Friday, Aug. 5, 2011. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or the Parkinson's Association. John Edward Landwermeyer was born Nov. 4, 1915, in Kaufman County, son of the late James Curtis and Mary Eveyln Landwermeyer. He was an aircraft inspector with General Dynamics for 35 years and retired in 1981. John was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and an avid gardener and Texas Rangers baseball fan. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Myrnell, and his brothers, James and Robert. Survivors: Sons, James Robert Landwermeyer, David Edward Landwermeyer; daughters, Carol Bluhm, Dottie Howell; granddaughter, Elizabeth; and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.
