Feb. 9, 1922 - Nov. 13, 2008 Adolph Scasta, 86, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Thomas E. Creek V.A. Medical Center in Amarillo. Services are set for 10 a.m. Monday, November 17, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday at the funeral home. Adolph was born on February 9, 1922, in Brazos County to Joe and Karolina Scasta. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an aircraft sheetmetalist working at Bryan AFB until closing, then retiring from Kelly AFB in San Antonio. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Amarillo. Adolph was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Scasta and a son, Marvin R. Scasta. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Carolyn Scasta of Amarillo; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Millie Murphy of College Station; grandsons, Christopher R. Scasta Sr. and wife, Crystal, Brian C. Scasta and wife, Heather, Ronald E. Taylor Jr.; great-grandchildren, Chris Jr., Chassidy, Ethan and Xander. (bryan-college station - eagle)
