Bio

ELMER LEHL, 90 HEMINGFORD - Elmer Lehl, 90, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Box Butte General Hospital. He was born May 13, 1915, at Lincoln, to Nick and Mollie (Firestine) Lehl. His family moved to Paxton when he was a young man. He later moved to the Gering Valley and farmed for several years. Elmer married Dorothy Mazanec on May 1, 1941, at Chadron. Together they farmed in the Mitchell area until 1946 when they moved to start the family farm 20 miles west of Hemingford. He continued farming until his health forced him into retirement in 2004. Memorial services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 1, at the United Methodist Church at Hemingford, Pastor Jeri Soens officiating. Burial will be in the Hemingford Cemetery.
