Bio

Marie F. Cody: Her mother, Sarah Miller Thompson remarried after Martha's father, Benjamin F Thompson, died to Trowes Martin in Rhea County, Tennessee. (Benjamin died about 1862). Sarah had at least two children by Trowes Martin. She is living with her son Joseph in later census records so perhaps this is why Martha's maiden name is listed as Martin on her tombstone.
