Bio
Longtime Melba resident Howard B. Maughan was born on Jan. 24, 1928, and entered the Kingdom of God on Aug. 3, 2011. Howard enjoyed volunteering at Celebration Park in Melba. One of his greatest passions was fishing, and he was an avid fan of Boise State football. Howard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bonnie; his parents, J. Howard and Hattie, and sisters Mary Sargent and Virginia Kammeyer. He leaves behind a loving family to remember him; his sister, Kathleen (Don) Lind; brother, Walter Maughan; daughters, Shellay (Kenneth) Barton, Colleen Maughan, and Penny Shattuck; sons, David McGann and Kerry (Judy) McGann, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Melba Cemetery, Baseline Road , Melba. Arrangements by Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa. 467-7300.
